How to make lots of $$$?

The million dollar question that is on everyone´s mind, because lets be real, WHO doesn´t want to be a millionaire?

I present to you, a simple solution to this very complex question:

Ways to earn money

  1. Fast-lane jobs
  2. Chance/Luck
  3. Work

Fast-lane jobs(Star athletes, Wall Street…) are only available to small portion of us mortal beings. FAST earnings usually induce BIG spending, which in turn leads many star athletes and Wall Street workers in Bankruptcy Alley. (Tyson and company)

Chance/Luck(Inventors, lottery winners, heirs) only a very small portion of inventions are profitable (1%). And most of us aren’t born into rich families. Then again, there always the possibility that Luck will come knocking on your door (Zuckerberg & Facebook)…. or of you winning the lottery. But keep in mind that for every 1 lucky winner, there are 99 unlucky losers.

Work: the least glamorous path to success, but by far, the most secure option available to the average citizen. I will focus my article on this path to success. My advice: keep your door open to Luck, but also work hard, just in case Luck never comes.

A Simple Truth

  • Money ———> Material Power
  • Inner Power ———> Money

So if you want material power but don’t have money, the first step is to work on your inner power. And by inner power, I mean your inner-self.

Whats the answer to achieving Inner Power?

– Scroll down and read the title of the entry below –

That’s right.

It’s that simple.

We have all heard famous quotes like “Knowledge is power” or “Knowledge will set you free”, yet most of us don’t appreciate the LIBERATING POWER behind these quotes. The majority of people choose to wander through life blindly, while holding on to a guide dog named “Themedia”.

Where is “Themedia” leading us, we don’t know. Why is “Themedia” barking, we don’t know. And sadly, most people are content to just be walking.

Another methapor.

Most people are like a pawns on the chessboard. Blindly walking forward, one step at a time. ALL of them, totally dispensable.

My question: why settle for being pawns, when we can be kings?

In Conclusion

Ancient wise men wrote their knowledge into books. These “ancient” books helped future men become wise and create more knowledge. This tradition of passing down knowledge has being going on for more than 3,000 years.

Books used to be very expensive and only available to rich, powerful men. Books are now cheap and available for all to read. Now, if you choose to only read “new” books, then you are only licking the frosting of the Knowledge cake. If you get past the frosting, and start eating THE cake, your Inner Power will grow. You will start to see.

The more Cake you eat, the farther you will see. Better eyesight equals more chances of spotting good opportunities. The more opportunities you spot, the bigger your chances of success. And with success comes money*.

* Most of the time. If not, at least you will become wise.

Wise men don’t need to be rich, in order to be happy.

And isn’t happiness, what life is really all about? **

** Or maybe, the Founding Fathers should have wrote

“Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Money”

“Life, Slavery and the pursuit of Sex”

“Vice, Liberty and the pursuit of Fame”

“Life, Liberty and the avoidance of Work”

Im sorry… not really. Wanna see how small you are?

  • If the human race = 1
  • You = 0.00000000014285 (thats 9 zeros)
And as you read this article, that number will only keep getting smaller, and smaller, and smaller. (due to the rising world population)

Which leads 2-2 questions…

  1. How can I stand out?
  2. How to make lots of $$$?

WARNING – this is not a Facebook trip, or Twitter frenzy, or Gossip toilet. This is LIFE. If you are not in a “thinking” mood, close this article NOW. Skimmers not welcome.

How can I stand out? Is it by being different? Nope, unless you want to end up all ____ing crazy like Gaga. To stand out you have to BE yourself, and to BE yourself you have to ACCEPT yourself (not cover yourself in rotting beef )

For better or worse, you are not white… or maybe you are. You dont have a Colgate smile… or maybe you do. Curly hair, crow’s feet, wrinkle valleys… these are all part of  YOU. I wish… don’t wish, accept. I don’t like… don’t reject, embrace. Accept yourself 100 %. Not 80%. A hundred percent. By accepting your external looks, you achieve inner peace. I’m at peace with my body, are you?

Smiling is the universal human sign of happiness. A light that shines constantly when we are kids, but starts to grow dim as we get older. Nobody tells us to smile less, yet for some reason, the older we get – the less we choose to smile. Jesus once said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them; for it is to those who are childlike that the Kingdom of the Heavens belongs.”

And while having a good sense of humor helps, it is not a requirement to be happy. Being compassionate and helping others, is a great way to cultivate smiles. Acknowledging the beauty that sorrounds us (trees, stars, sunsets, animals, life, love, family) is another path to smiling. Curving those lips more often, also has its health benefits.  Smiling is the perfect drug (free & healthy) : )

When you accept yourself, you are confident. When you smile, your happiness attract others towards you. When you are confident, happy and attractivethe social world becomes your own “sandbox”. A place of limitless possibilities and connections waiting to happen.

The most important part of socializing, is being able to “listen”. In a frenzied society where everyone screams and wants to be heard, very very very few people have the ability to actually shut up and listen. And like any other art, the art of listening requires practice. (for starters, avoid “filling in” words or interrupting others in mid-sentence) A master listener not only hears the message, but also understands the messenger.

Another way to “stand out”, is to literally STAND OUT. A straight body posture shows confidence and good hygiene demonstrates you are disciplined/caring. Speaking loud and clear, denotes that you are person worth hearing. But these are just details… and NO, having 5,000 Facebook friends doesn’t count as socializing. Go out there and socialize in the real world.

How can I stand out?

  1. By being an ASS ( accepting , smiling , socializing )
  2. By turning U into Ü

Stay tuned, for next week’s – How to make lots of $$$?

Tears and Bob Marley

40 YEARS, 10 days ago a Legend was born.

Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley died of melonoma at the Miami University Hospital the morning of May 11, 1981. After 8 months of unsuccesfully fighting the disease at a German clinic, Bob Marley had arrived at the Miami Airport the day before. Having accepted death, Marley´s last wish was to pass away in his native island of Jamaica. His last words to his son Ziggy — ¨Money can’t buy life¨.

The legendary reggae singer is best known for happy, cheerful songs such as ¨One Love¨ , ¨I Shot the Sheriff¨, ¨Three Little Birds¨, and countless others. As part of my tribute to his music, instead of focusing on the rebel and legend known by all, I wish show a part of Bob Marley known by few.

Here is a list of litttle-known Bob Marley songs. They are sad songs from a deep soul. Its their profound sadness and reflection that gives them strength. The best way to truly understand an artist, or any person for that matter, is by knowing them in both joy and pain. In moments of happiness and sorrow. Here are the tears Bob Marley shed for love.

Highlights of the ART of WAR

The Art of War was written by a Chinese named Sun Tzu, more than 2,000 years ago. While originally conceived as a war-manual, its profound wisdom and knowledge have made the Art of War an all-time classic.

Sun Tzu´s advice inspired communist leader Mao Zedong to victory in China´s Civil War (1946-1950), and has become an a must-have book for the stock-market professionals of Wall Street. Besides teaching one how to become a great leader, the Art of War also contains great advice on how to read the minds of your opponents.

That being said, here are the most memorable quotes of the book:

War is a matter of vital importance for the State: its the province of life or death; the path of survival or ruin. It´s ought to be studied profoundly.

With the joy of overcoming difficulties, people forget the threat of death.

The Five Virtues of a general:

  1. Intelligence
  2. Sincerity
  3. Humanity
  4. Courage
  5. Severity.

If he is so, his army will call him ¨The Respected One¨.

There has never been a State that has benefited from a prolonged war. War is like fire; those who can´t put aside their arms are consumed by them.

Winning 100 times in 100 battles is not the essence of hability. Submitting an opponent without fighting, is the true essence of hability.

The most important element of war is attacking your opponent´s strategy.

Five Omens of Victorious Men

  1. He who knows when to fight and when not to.
  2. He who knows how to use both, big and small troops.
  3. He whose army is united in spirit.
  4. He who is prudent and waits for the right moment to attack.
  5. He whose officials are competent and doesn´t have a meddling superior.

Know the enemy and know thyself; and in a hundred battles you will never face peril.

Being invincible depends one`s self ; that your opponent is vunerable, depends on him.

When planning, never make useless movements. In strategy, never take a step in vain.

Generally, being in charge of many is the same as being in charge of few. It´s a question of organization.

Apparent confusion is a sign of adecuate order; apparent cowardness, of valor; apparent weakness, of strength.

Make the enemy see your strong points as weaknesses, and your weaknesses as strong points.

During the first hours of the morning, the spirit´s of the men are high. During the day, they waver. By the afternoon, their thoughts start wondering home.

Don´t pressure a cornered opponent.

A doctrine of war. Don´t assume the enemy won´t advance; be confident in your own preparation to confront him. Don´t presume he won´t attack; better yet, turn yourself invincible.

How to read your Opponent

  • If the enemy is close, but hiding: he is in a favorable position.
  • When his messengers approach you with humble words, but he continues his preparations: the enemy will advance.
  • When his lenguage is deceitful and he advances slowly: he will retreat.
  • If his messengers speak too highly of you: the enemy wishes a ceasefire.
  • If out of nowhere, the enemy proposes a ceasefire: he is up to something.
  • If instead of advancing, the enemy parades his troops around: he is waiting for reinforcements.
  • If 50% of his troops advance and the other 50% retreat: the enemy is setting a trap.
  • If the enemy sees an opportunity and doesnt´t move: he is tired.

When sorrouding your enemy, you must always leave an ¨apparent¨ escape route in sight. By showing the enemy´s men the possibility of fleeing, they won´t be obliged to ¨fight to death¨.

The feats of a wise general surpass those of ordinary men because of previous knowledge. (intel/espionage)

The best spies/informants are:

  • those who are intelligent but appear stupid
  • those who are intrepid but appear inoffensive

Or you can always be stupid... but appear intelligent
